Testimonials

Thank you for such a wonderful yoga session at Rabia and Ava's birthday party. All of the
guest really enjoyed it and Rabia loved it. Being teachers we know how difficult it can be to
hold the attention of teenagers and toddlers alike. You have great timing and a gift for
working dynamically with children. Thank you for starting our 2 year olds third year of life with
such grace.

I wanted to let you know my son enjoyed yoga camp very very much - i think as much as
he's ever enjoyed anything we've ever sent him to. with great enthusiasm he's shown me
poses he's learned, and the art he's made. he was sad tonight that this is was his last day
with you.

Thank you so much for teaching my son, Henry, yoga this year.  It thrills me to no end that he
can do 'downward facing dog' and 'cat/cow' (or meow/moo).  I especially liked that you use
props such as feathers and straws to teach the kids - creativity is so important when
educating others.
Jennifer, mom to Henry (age 3)

I have loved taking my 2.5 year old daughter to Bija family yoga. We have been going for a
few months and we both love the class.  Everything from doing downward dog together to
holding each other's hands in tree pose, to having her "massage" my back during relaxation.
It is both a wonderful way for her to learn some yoga as well as a great way for us to interact.
My favorite part might be her putting her hands together and saying "namaste" at random
times...

Hi Lauren...Just wanted to add that they have been so calm and centered after yoga on Fri's,
I've noticed, which is not typical for the end of the week-it's great!  They are also
oming
spontaneously at home!

Participating in the Bija Kids Yoga Teacher Training has literally transformed my teaching
practice, giving me the tools I needed to transition into teaching children's yoga full time.
The uniquely crafted Bija curriculum outlines a comprehensive, safe and truly fun yoga class
series in which students can continuously build on skills from previous lessons, and the
class format has enough flexibility that I can modify activities to both serve my students'
needs and express my own strengths and interests as a teacher.   I feel incredibly well
prepared, and find each class to be filled with surprises and delights, learning from my
students at least as much as they learn from me.  It is a great joy to have found a livelihood
that supports and folds seamlessly into my yoga practice, making the yoga a part of my
everyday life.

My daughter was a habitual toe walker, which was exacerbated by very tight heel chords and
calf muscles. (Her muscles were so tight, she could barely flex her feet enough to walk
properly.) We started a combination of physical therapy and yoga, and the one-on-one yoga
sessions with Lauren have helped to improve my daughter's overall flexibility and
coordination. We have been very pleased with Lauren's regimen; since she tailored the
sessions to suit my daughter's specific issues, it has proven to be very effective. Now,
several months after starting, she no longer walks on her toes.

I just wanted to say how great I thought Sunday was.  I am just so pleased and impressed
with the way you have done things.  I am so pleased that you do go into yogic philosophy and
I feel so aligned with what you are trying to bring to the children.  You are offering a wonderful
programme that is also open so one can bring things to it.  I am excited to have more of an
opportunity to share these things with children other than my own....  I look forward to having
more time with you.
 Brogan, Teacher Training Graduate

It's amazing to see how our kids have benefited from and how much they look forward to the
yoga program.  I am excited to make it a permanent part of our curriculum.
